Robotics research at Yale is currently split between two Departments – Computer Science and Mechanical Engineering & Materials Science. The list below shows the faculty who are currently doing primary research in robotics. In addition to these, Yale has a number of faculty working in related fields such as Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (Departments of Computer Science and Data Sciences & Statistics), Controls (Electrical Engineering), and Computer Vision/Imaging (Computer Science and Biomedical Engineering).
If you are interested in working with any of these faculty members for graduate research, you should apply to their primary department through the typical graduate admissions process (deadline typically mid- or end of December). You are welcome to contact them, but they receive a high volume of email and may be unable to respond.
